| yep, I've largely shunned xanga for facebook, but I guess I should make a quick update.
grad school's going well, and I have a better understanding of my policy interests now, so I'm not as confused as when I first started 8 months ago. I'm looking for a summer internship back in the Bay Area.
in terms of sports, I saw an Arena Football League game at the Staples Center. I should also try to watch NBA and NHL games before their seasons end, too. Earlier this month, I was also at the Galen Center for the Cal-USC game, which Cal lost in an overtime heart-breaker. They battled back from 10 down with about 2 minutes left, which is no easy feat in basketball. Hopefully, with Braun gone, Cal will have a better season next year.
I really need to explore California more. I see friends' pictures from all these cool locations (Monterey, Yosemite, etc.), and it occurs to me that I just haven't visited many places. Let me know if you guys would like to go on a road trip some time. It'd be fun.
anyway, I think that's all for now. oh, before I forget, I'm attending Pacific Crossroads Church (a church plant of Redeemer Pres in NYC) in West LA, and I'm going to the Hotel Cafe Tour on 4/13, which I'm looking forward to.
above all else, God continues to remind me that he is good, that he is at work within me, and that he lives.
hope to hear from you guys.

| This year, I:
-quit my job -bought a DSLR camera -moved to LA for school -learned how to change a car battery -played USTA tennis -built a computer for the first time -went to New York -went to Beijing -saw a musical (Jersey Boys) -saw Natalie Portman give a talk
I know I'm missing a few things here, so I'll add them when I remember..
Also, do you find that people are shunning Xanga in favor of Facebook (in terms of blogging, updates)? What are you doing?

| if you have rhapsody, listen to "someone" by tammany hall nyc (featured on the show Scrubs) and then listen to "somebody's me" by enrique iglesias. iglesias' album is brand-new, but this song is sounds like a near-copy of "someone"--similar title and eerily similar guitar riff throughout the song.
tell me if you hear it too.
